About the Founder

Sarah Little is a journalist and the founder of More to Her Story.

Having spent her early adolescence in the Middle East, Sarah felt a calling to leave college at age 20, during the height of the Syrian civil war, and travel to Jordan to share the stories of young Syrian refugee women. From there, Sarah traveled for two years, meeting with young women in Africa, The Middle East, Europe, and North America. Everywhere she went, girls shared with her their experiences, their challenges, and their dreams for a different life.

Through these stories and relationships, More to Her Story was born. Today, it serves as an outlet for girls and young women around the world to share their stories, voices, and ideas for a better future. More to Her Story has grown quickly and expanded to include a podcast, an upcoming book, and a news agency.

In addition to leading More to Her Story, Sarah regularly contributes to international media outlets, writing about the lives and ideas of women and girls. She also hosts More to Her Story: The Podcast, interviewing experts, journalists, and thought leaders.  Sarah is a Women for Women International Champion and holds an MA in International Journalism from City, University of London.
